VACANCY

Collaboration in the research project "Green Streaming" (funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection)
- Drawing up requirement catalogues for "green" live production and distribution
- Recording the ecological footprint for different production situations
- Recording the energy consumption of different technologies (e.g. SDI vs. IP)
- Define and analyse typical workflows in the areas of contribution and distribution
- Develop recommendations and, if necessary, blueprints for systems with reduced environmental impact
- Documenting work results, preparing reports
Participation in other projects in the areas of
- Cloud-based live production
- Live streaming (distribution and contribution)
The duration of the research project is approximately 2 years. However, we intend an employment beyond that

(University) education and/or relevant professional experience in media/broadcasting technology or in the radio/television sector
Good knowledge and ideally experience in the areas of: Web streaming procedures, compression,
good knowledge of classic TV production and contribution techniques
Very good knowledge of English
Ability to work in a team and team motivation
Sense of responsibility and reliability are imperative
Optional:
- Experience and knowledge in the AWS environment
- Experience and knowledge with NDI, SRT, ST2110, Software Defined Networking
Very good German skills
